Prachin Durga Mata Mandir is considered one of the holiest temples in Bathinda, Punjab. Dr. Shri Sohanlal Gupta ji had the impression in dreams that there used to be an ancient Mataji’s temple here which was destroyed in the battle between the invading Muslims and Rajputs.
During the construction of the temple, some bricks had been found while excavating – on which the symbols of Om, snake and trident are imprinted. These bricks have been preserved in this temple as evidence of the ancient demolished temple.

Very good temple and divine place to offer and see god . A must place to visit if at Bhatinda. The god statues looks like real and the makeup and presentation is superb. The temple is clean and well maintained.
